Ok, I'm currently doing a buildup on a 95 camaro 3.4 and was wondering if there were any type of aftermarket head gaskets for it. All I've found is felpro and the factory gaskets. I will eventually be running a decent amount of boost (like 15-20 psi) so I dont want to keep tearing it apart to fix gaskets. I was thinking of o-ringing the block as well so that should help the gaskets, but if I can find some sort of MLS gasket, id prefer that. Anyone know of anything? thanks for the info

You'd need the 0 rings regarless if using the aftermaket gaskets or the detroit gaskets. Some people will argue the detroit gasket is better than the felpro units. With the copper gakets...you need to have the sufaces preped for it. See site mention on MFD for copper gakets. This site also has some resorces on makes.
But remember..the head gasket is "like" a safty device too. You detonate from a bad tune..either your gasket goes or your piston goes.88 Beretta GTU turbo . 90 Black ASC/McLaren TGP, awaiting 4t80. 2003 Grand AM se 3400/4t45 daily grind.

hmm... well as far as the o-rings go, I've seen a kit in a magazine that allowed you to o-ring your own block. It looked pretty decent but I cant remember who made it or where i can come by one. Would it be beneficial to o-ring the block as opposed to the heads? I wouldnt think there'd be any difference.

i asked this question for my 3.1 and i was told stock gaskets should be fine up to 10psi but thats all the person i talked to ran so i am not sure if they could handle more. one thing i have read about copper gaskets is their not made for a d/d-streetcarsigpic

I am interested in finding an aftermarket gasket as well for my rebuild(planning on running over 10psi of boost), but in my case I am building a 3.1L with a set of 3100 heads.98 camaro swapping in lz9 th400 setup
