Alright, Minivan boy here again . I was woundering what setup youd use to Turbo the venture. Say 10-12psi ish? Would that be enough? but not to much? How much hp u think id get, say with a cam/head change?

I'd love to pull up beside someone, they see a venture, idling a lil lopey, thinking its missing or w/e then just let it rip outta the hole lol. In all honesty it goes pretty good now, My buddy at works got a '95 GA w/ 3.1 and CAI. We run, I KILL him 40 up, from a dig, whenever, hes kinda pissed but everyone at work always rubs it in lol

I always figured that its just plain old stupid to try squeezing anything more than 8PSI out of stock set up.....for one you max out your injectors rather quickly, your cars only going to advance timing without knowing its being force fed air, and your pistons will be melted down to look like marshmellows that have been in the microwave for too long....or am i wrong???
I learned the hard way to always check your WG actuator line....all it needs to do is be pinched and over boost just for a split second, BOOM and your walking home.
I would imagine it being a bitch and a half to install a turbo on your venture, only because of the akward room you have in there, i mean trying to change the battery in those things is painfull enough, unless you drop the subframe and work on the motor like that....*shrugs*
Just qurious to see how this goes, cuz im tempted to turbocharge my 3100 just for shits to see what kinds of gains i can get out of it

I'm pretty sure it can remove timing. Once it starts detonating the KS will pick up a knock and then things will go that way. You can also run the car a little more to the rich side to keep down detonation. And injectors arent too hard to change, so that's an easy solution.
The stock ECU doesnt like it when the MAP sensor starts to see boost. Which is why you trick it into not seeing it, or get a reflash.
That java program sucks. It recommends a gt25 for a 3.4 Yea ok.
That's actually right on target. that is a GT25. not a T25, VERY big difference. The GT series of Garret Turbos are much more efficiant and will provide some very broad power bands, they're just pricey.
Also if you notice all turbos on that applet now are of the GT sieres.
The t-25 (or was that the t-28???)a pea sized under dog, not even worth talking about, they mainly come on the 95-99 GS-T and GS-X Eclipse, and Talon TS-i's stock....frankly id rather go no turbo, then use that one, its af powerfull as trying to hook up a leafblower on your car...now the GT25, is respectable, very little lag, excellent top end, and good volume of air usage
GT25 is pointless. yea its a Gt wheel but plot the compressor map for a 3400. Ifyou think a gt25 is a good match for a 3400 then you need to do some more homework. Please go back to school because you have no idea what you are talking about.

I used to have a flow chart book, comparing all hybrids, standards, and factory turbochargers so i could have shown you the difference in volume, lag, ext, but i have no idea where that is in my Gee-Raahge
Try a garret 20G and up in size, a T04E would be great....the best type of advice i can give you, would be that on any motors set up, if your setting it up for the street, (not road courses) you want a large turbo, low boost, not the other way around.....you can squeeze the most out of your car by going with a turbo that will spool up with no trouble, but NOT over work the motor to keep the power going. Large turbo, larger volume of air, at low boost=good In a nutshell, you dont want the motor to rely on its RPMS to keep the turbo spooled, its all about volume divided by the cars exaust flow, too small a turbo, wont compensate for your cars exaust volume, it will create more of a restriction to be able to compensate for forced induction.....since yoru exaust goes in, and back out of your turbocharger, you dont want too small a turbo to do nothing but give you no power untill it starts to spool up, but crap put anyway because the motor cant get rid of its own exaust fast enough....make sence?
Small turbo, high boost, low volume of air=bad, and you will be asking yourself why the car isnt pulling as hard as it should
I need to find some maps for dynomation. I have just about everything else for the 3400 motor other than the stock cam specs seat to seat specs which are necessary.
