  • Eaton M90 coolant

I was wondering if the eaton M90 needs the coolant passages for normal operating in like a 70 deg F weather. I have and idea for mounting it to a 96 DOHC but the coolant makes every thing much harder.

    96 Z34 3.4 SC DOHC Getrag, 284 5sd manual transmission, stage 3spec clutch, 97 engine, 97 pcm, S3 intercooler 1 of 1 Roots SC LQ1 in the world 8.5 psi.

    RE: Eaton M90 coolant

No it doesn't. The coolant only runs through it to keep the tb from freezing or something like that in the winter. Most, if not all of the intercooler kits available for L67's block off this coolant passage. My dad's has been blocked off for 2 years and 2 months now and he's had no problems.
