  • Turbo concerns

okay there is a lot of talk about putting a turbo onto a 3.1 and i want to do it myself. although i have some concerns.
~ Tranny... adding more power im putting more stress on the tranny... how much is too much... and is it easy to take to a transmission shop or even myself to beef it up and put a high stall Torque coverter.
~ Manifolds i was thinking about doing a hybrid swap as well when i take the leap with the turbo setup. but i was thinking... do i really have to? maybe get a valvejob and clean up the casting imperfections in the manifold and save myself the swap headaches.
~ Engine management yeah this is an interresting one. http://www.bgsoflex.com/megasquirt.html <--- this in an interresting site that sells programable stand alone systems.... for cheap.... but you have to do everything yourself... which should be pretty cool. if i dont do the stand alone do i need to anything to my computer?
~ injectorsi know i am going to need larger injectors because, well, im going to need the flow. is a high flow fuel pump nessisary... because i just replaced my old one with an oem one because my original one was failing.
And i am fairly certain im not even going to try and plumb everything so the turbo is in the stock tgp location i think im going to put it around the downpipe... give or take a few feet. but that is a moutain to be tackled after i figure this other stuff out. Thank you all.
