You have a 95 with a 3100. How are you doing a hybrid swap? Hybrids are 3x00 top ends on 3.1s...

From what I can tell, that exact same kit is on Summit for $349. Hmm.. ebay for $469, or Summit for $349.

Contrary to popular belief, you don't always get the best deals on eBay, especially for new stuff!!

A hybrid swap is taking a Gen II 3.1, and using the topend from a Gen III 660 (3X00). It provides a MUCH larger gain then what you are doing. You're just using an updated version of the same topend. The only thing better about the "valvetrain" is the rocker arms, and the slightly bigger intake valves. You could've just put 1.6 rocker arms on your 3100 for the same effect. That and the 00+ 3100 intakes and you would have virtually the same gain. It doesn't seem worth it to change the heads to me.

                    This is a hybrid swap:

i thought someone told me that i need the heads? and that its much better to have the new aluminum heads.

thanks for clearing that up for me shawn.

they likely figured you had a gen 2 motor. in your case its a head swap.
