Is the Toyota CT-26 an adequate turbo for the LQ1? If so, what cars came stock with that turbo? Also, what type of engine managment would be necessary? How much boost can the LQ1 handle with a stock bottom end? Is the stock compression too high? Sorry about all the Q's, and I know I've been posting a lot lately, so sue me.

CT-26 Turbo LQ1?

LQ1 = 3.4 TDC, right? If so, avoid stock CT-26's like the plague. They were small for the 3.0 L supras they came stock on. And these engines were .4L smaller and redlined 500 rpm lower. I have a friend with a 2 liter MR2 and he had to get his CT-26 upgraded, and is looking at an even bigger turbo once again. I am unsure about how much boost the LQ1 can run since I'm an LA1 (3400) guy, however IIRC 6-7 psi was doable with proper management on a stock bottom, although I'm not sure of the differences between the LA1 and LQ1 bottom end and I'm hearing of LA1's running over 10 psi on a stock bottom.
