Ok, I've been thinking of getting a bigger turbo for my TGP for over a year now. I'm looking at the GT2871R, which is a dual ball-bearing T28 with .86 A/R turbine housing compared to the stock T-25 .68 IIRC. Plus, it's utilizes the new NS111 turbine wheel that supposed to flow much better. They don't have the compressor flow map up for the GT2871R yet, and they have a GT28RS turbine map listed for it but they are the same on the exhaust side so it shouldn't matter. Anyways, I really like the fast spool and I don't want to do too much fabrication. I know I'll have to elongate one downpipe hole and I will need banjo fittings for the oil/water lines. The compressor housing has a 2" outlet which matches the stock TGP piping so no changes there. I think it's a good upgrade...what does everyone else think???

I've actually been quoted around $925 for the GT2871R from ATP. That sounds like a lot, but there are a couple TGP guys that have had their stock T25 rebuilt/upgraded with bigger wheels for around $800. Plus, I get to keep the stock T25 or sell it to recoop some of the loss.\'89 Ciera Int. Coupe

I've been told the T25 is capable of 280hp.
I've been looking for an upgrade for my T25, and this looks like a very good choice! I'm definately liking it.
