      Not really turbo pics per say, but at least some progress. I got the rigid mount for the air-to-water IC made today. The pipe routing should be REALLY short. That combined with high flow efficiency (about 1/4 the total restriction of the old air-to-air IC that I had the car before) boost response should be that much quicker.




      Here you can see the "floating" mount for it. It was built fairly rigid to prevent vibration stress fractures. It also make the IC very easy to remove. Just remove two bolts, and the whole thing extracts easily. (pardon the glare)


      And heres the beginning of the oil tank that's positioned within the pass side of the front bumper cover. There's still the matter of fabbing up the trap-door baffle and internal screens. It will also be getting a protective external cage.

      Now oil changes will be super easy. No need for jack-stands or ramps.



      The whole set-up should easily serviceable.
      Took a break from working on the car. Got some better tools, got a better shop, got a better job... Its time to burn metal!

        BTW... don't get too attached to all that "shiny". All of those pipes including the IC will be covered in aluminized heat barrier and thermal sleeving. mI MUCH more interested in keeping the ducting as cool as possible.

          Holy smokes the engine is far back on a 4th gen... or did you push it back further ??

          Tell me you are using the condenser as a cooler for your Liquid to air. That would be about the correct size.

            The condenser will be used for the AC compressor. (the car still retains AC and heat. I'm too old to go without it now-a-days) The heat exchanger that I'm using for the IC is a smaller unit by far (about an inch larger than the stock heat exchanger on a Ford Lightning).
            With some 50/50 anti-freeze and some ultra-cool added to it, it should work fine.





            I wanted to move the weight of the engine as close to the middle of the car as I could get it. In order to accomplish this, the firewall has been notched and modified to allow the engine to be moved back apprx 4 inches and downward about 3 from the factory mounting position. The tip of the dry sump pulley now sits absolutely level with axle line of the front wheels.
