  • 91 gt 3.1 turbo vacume line HELP!

    Can anyone please tell me if i have vacume lines correct ? Like internal waste gate,blow off valve, manual boost controller, and boost gauge.If i can get pics.up. or tell me where they go.If anyone has any pics. that would help also.Thank you all!

    If you post up pictures we can help.

    Typically, the BOV and waste gate will both receive a vacuum/boost reference from the intake manifold (though both should have their own lines). The manual boost controller is a bleeder put in the line to the waste gate. It reduces the pressure the waste gate sees and allows you to run higher boost. The waste gate can also source from a port on the compressor outlet on the turbo and many internal waste gates are configured just like that.

        Let me try this again with the pics.Compressor side of turbo does not have a vacuum port.I thought it was vital to have some things hooked up before or after throttle plate.I probably should drill and tap for a port on custom compressor outlet elbow for waste gate actuator.           The way it is now should work. Unless you have boost control issues, I wouldn't worry about it.
