  • Question : Vortech V5 supercharger on a beretta?

I have a 95' obd2 swapped beretta 3400/3500 hybrid with 60k on the bottom end, with headers, ported/polished everything, and an upgraded 4t60e.

I would like to run this kit on 8-10psi (was told around 80-100hp) because i have stock engine internals except for SD headgaskets and metal lim gaskets

I would like to know what exactly i would need to do to an rsm 3x00 kit to make it work.
I was told i would need to modify the shaft length?
And was told i will need to make a bracket to mount one end to the trans?
Also what walbro fuel pump would i need as well as size injectors?

I basicly need to know everything and I am new to all of this and any info would help.

    thanx!

Do you have a V5 supercharger yet?
You will no doubt need to mock up the mounts and have access to a machine shop that can make one off parts.

No i do not have the supercharger yet, someone emailed me and i am awaiting their reply, and I am a machinist and have the ability to create parts through mastercam, i also have full access to any type of metal, as well as manual/CNC lathe+mill and as much time as i want with any of them.

I just need to know what all i would have to modify/fab for an n-body or w-body v5 kit to work with my car

There was never V5 kit made for the N or W body. RSM made a V9 kit but it had drive shaft issues.

I had a TRD vortech V5 awhile back, which I sold on one of the forums, in which it needed to have the drive shaft finished and mounting brackets made. LX9Power was trying to sell it on here not too long ago, but he never made mention of what needed to be completed.

Basically you are going to need to come up with the mounts, finish the drive shaft so it is in alignment with the rest of the pulley system, press the bearings on the shaft, tap your oil pan, run an oil feed, upgrade the fuel system, and put a good tune on it.

            The RSM aka Z-spec kit uses a Vortech V9 G trim, not a V5.

I have been playing around with the RSM kits for quite some time, in which I have had mounts for both the N-body and W-body.

I think your best bet would be to use a setup similar to what I have mocked up in the pictures below, and add the cast iron engine mount from a W-body with aluminum insert for the shaft support.

And since in a machinist does anyone have a 4t60e bracket i can borrow and duplicate?

And wot-tech stopped offering adjustable fpr, anyone know where i can get one?
