  • TB0348 turbo on a 3500?

    how would that workout?

its the turbo's from the grandnational T-type, i just acquired a pair of them in good condition recently rebuilt...

from what i can tell the effency range on these things is only bout ~280hp, but i keep finding vids / post on people pushing close to 400 at the wheels with them, any input?

    heres the map for reference

Do you intend on using the pair of them as "twins"? This turbo doesn't really move a lot of air by itself. (no more than 350hp worth of air at the stressed, wheezing limit) Also, are you going to run the motor "stock"? If so, looking at this map, it seems that you can get away with a safe 400hp at 8lbs if you're running twins.

That's what I come up with just doing the math in my head. (of course, I have no idea what RPM youll actually get that)
Took a break from working on the car. Got some better tools, got a better shop, got a better job... Its time to burn metal!

I imagine that it would probably spool up pretty damned fast as small as that exhaust housing is. I would be more concerned about top-end exhaust restriction. Youll probably be making peak torque by as little as 2300rpms.
