  • Idea that most likely wont work

This is nothing but me talking out my arse here so bare with me.

Take a lower intake from a f-body tap and put plugs in the injector holes. Make a plate to bolt a m62 from a Mercedes ( think it was) and on top of that use a TBI.

Not real sure of the model SC I saw but I was sure it was a m62 had bottom outlet and top inlet. With some ECM tuning and boost retard I think this just might work. If I can get the SC cheap enough I have most of the rest of the parts to play with so it would be nothing but time wasted. Any reasoning why it wouldn't work and I'm just stupid for thinking this up? Would make an interesting setup if it would work. I'd just have to find some measurements on the blower and snout length to see if it will even sit on the lower intake.

    could work.

why you would make a draw through design in this day and age is beyond me, but it definitely is feasible mechanically. not too sure about what ECM should be running a boosted TBI though...

Just thinking out loud. Better I do it on here than out in the shop on metal.

good point. much better to think twice and do once rather than the other way around...

I also came up with a weird idea of using a 1/2 ton fullsize truck center section and axles with custom controls arms to make a long arm IFS lift that was stronger than the crap I got now under my blazer.

Sounds good written down but the fab work would be killer.

The Ford Thunderbird SC ran a M62 on it and it had a rear intake and bottom outlet if that would help with room under the hood.

Hood room aint a issue. I have a 3 inch body lift and plans for a cowl induction hood. So might as well say thats gonna be 5 inches more room than stock and being a s10 I had more room to spare to start with. The roots type blowers built for these things years ago fit under the factory hood with TBI.
