I'm getting ready to start mocking up my charge piping and want to know if I can mount a MAF that was originally mounted in the engine bay horizontally and put it in the fender well mounted vertically. I searched and couldn't finda good answer anywhere.

i have allways been told to keep it ~6-8" from the TB... but horazontal or vertical should have no effect on it. ive also been told you want to have the piping come as straight as you can get it before the maf for best readings.

I had the best luck with the MAF after the BOV but before the TB. If you put it before the turbo, you can't run a BOV unless you recirculate it to after the MAF. Even then, you may have drivability issues.
