  • Average EGT 5-8 psig

Was wondering what kind of max exhaust temps I will be encountering. Assuming the tune is good.

Stock 3100 with T04E .50 trim Turbo. Running anywhere between 5 and 8 psig boost. Stock exhaust manifolds, stock cross-over with 9 gauge (0.1875") steel where the cross-over merges the gases and where the wastegate taps in. I will also be using heat wrap across all exhaust to the downpipe near the cat converter (test cat).

Along with that question, what is the thickness (gauge or inch is fine) for the stock exhaust manifolds and cross-over?

I was meaning to measure but forgot while building.

Thanks guys, I would like an EGT Gauge but didn't want to spring the cost for one. Didn't think it was needed at low boost levels 5-8psig.

You should focus your attention on air fuel ratio instead of exhaust gas temps, if the AFR is correct you will not have to worry about your EGT temps because they will be within a safe range especially at a conservative boost level. I won a very nice brand EGT gauge off ebay if you haven't checked there.

Right, I do have a wideband O2 and HP Tuner. The AFR will be tuned in well. I was more curious if anything.

But I would still like to know the thickness of the stock exhaust manifolds and stock cross-over. I'm sure they are also within safe limits but I am a prick about details.

      Thanks for the info.
