  • Question : Wastegate banjo threads, there are 2?

I'm checking out my new wastegate and there are two threaded areas for a banjo for a vacuum line.

One on top and one on the side.

Which is which? I was under the impression there was only one.

I understand one of them connects to the compressor to control the boost levels. What is the other one for?

    Help please, thanks

The bottom is all you need for a manual boost controller or no boost controller. The top is used with an electronic boost controller to keep the wastegate shut. AEM has good pdf files on their website for their TruBoost that show how to set it up. (Other controllers will be similar.)

          Sorry for not responding sooner.

Yeah Rob, that pic def helps.

But there are two answers here.

The pic makes sense, and also was said to not use it.

I'll get some pics up tomorrow. Along with some teasers of the turbo and my gauges. WBO2, Oil Temp, Oil Press, Boost/vacuum, Trans Temp
