  • Max boost on stock 3400 fpr?

Do you think I'd have any problems using a stock 3400 fpr with a stock turbo from a tgp? I mean I have 36lb injectors I'm going to use with the walbro so I'd imagine the stock fpr would be fine, right? I think I have a 97 fpr now but I'm like to use a 00+ fpr since they are set to a higher psi. If I have to get an adjustable I will but I'm trying to spread my money out a bit lol.

What pressure are the injectors rated at? They are only 36lbs/hr at their rated pressure.

SO really its the question of will the injectors be a large enough lb/hr to support the turbo if they only have 43PSI powering them.

THAT'S the question you need to answer

I needed an adjustable one because I'm running trail blazer injectors and those are actually only 28lb/hr at 63PSI... and the 00+ FPR's are only 55psi.

you dont need the higher pressure regulator. i made 358 whp on 9 psi using the 00+ regulator using 30# injectors.

Thats a small turbo for that engine. I wouldn.t even bother.

The 00+ FPR will handle alot of boost, I.ve never seen one break apart...

I.d say it will take 15 psi all day long for years and years. There.s about the same ammount of stress on the FPR when your decelerating and pulling heavy vaccum then there is at 11-12 psi so you should be good to go.

Couldn't you also put a positive check valve just before the regulator to prevent pressure against it?

I think that's what kills the stock 4t60e modulators when some try to turbo auto's

ive ran the stock FPR on mine for years it did fail on me right after 100K miles.. i just put a new FPR in with my intake swap and im going to get a check valve for my new one.. should prolong the life of the FPR.
