Yeah, its a OLD kit, only know of 1 out in the world. I like that setup, thats sweet! haha TDR, i like to see people use some stuff that was never designed for your motor. don't let the toyota guys see that you won't hear the end of the "You had to use Toyota parts to make your Domestic Fast!" JK.. i gave my honda buddies shyt all the time when they had to use GM parts to make their cars fast (2 bar map, Power glide trans, ect.... the power glide is in a civic drag car w/ turbo S2000 motor, pretty frickn bad ass actually ~1200-1400hp)

Looks good, im anxious to see the final product

Crazy Civic, I have never seen a RWD trans mounted in front of the engine to make it FWD.

Yeah, I wouldn't have gone with the TRD supercharger... but it was a cheap way to get a new vortech V-5 F trim supercharger. I paid $450 for it on ebay.

thats cool as hell. im curious to see what the end result is..

Yeah its a newer S2000 motor, custom adaptor plate, Powerglide trans connected to a Built up "V-Drive" (out of a boat), back to a Custom ford 9" and shorty axles.

All FWD and the front of the car where the engine sits is hinged like a swing arm on a bike to keep the Front planted on hard launches... crazy setup.

            I remember the RSM setup.

I always thought the way to do it was to run a shaft across the front of the engine and mount a supercharger where the airbox is. I'd actually still like to see it.

im guessing like a matrix or somethings. i know they offered a factory Charger for it... the Tacoma chargers have traditionaly been roots style... and the way the shaft is in there it would have to be a FWD application.

i don't know about the lq1, but they did produce a vortech supercharger for the la1 that was notorious for blowing bearings all the time

then there is the eaton magnuson kit for the la1, that was a much better option

The eaton kit uses the M62 blower unit.

cool, is there a thread on that setup? I wouldn't mind reading up on it.

Well what would you like to know. Eaton-Magnuson ran a limited number of these kits. I believe the final number is 17, with 3 being third gen m-62s, and the rest 4th gen. Approximately 5 of the kits started on GM prototype cars. I believe 2 are still on GM cars. The rest float around the GM n-body community.

They were good for 250-300whp with minor fuel upgrades and an exhaust system. Most people run mid to low 14s with this basic setup. I personally ran a 13.8 with a boost leak and a Spearco w2a intercooler setup. My friend Greg who I sold the spearco setup to add to his EM kit has since pushed it to 13.0 at a track in Kentucky. He is currently the fastest n-body with this particular kit and the only one with a W2A intercooler setup. He might get 1-2 tengths more but i doubt it without building the motor.

You can still get every part of the kit other than the custom inlet and the mounts. Otherwise it is a basic m62 supercharger and 2 piece drive snout.

I sold my EM kit because I knew high 12s would not be enough for me. I plan on utilized a very similar organization though with my whipple, it will just flow much better and will hopefully push me into the 11s.....

I also have an original installation manual if you are really interested I can scan it in.....

the manual and more pics would be sweet. I have a m62 that's never been used laying around that I could possibly put to use.. I'll look at the possibility of fabricating the parts or going turbo. Either would be fun.
