the ss m90 is a little bit of fab work but works amazing! a stock 4.2 pulley will push about the same power on a n/a motor as a 3.3 pulley on a s/c motor.

so ur sayin a smaller pully on a motor made for boost will make the same power as a motor not made for boost, with a supercharger on it, and a bigger pully? amd i reading this right or did i take too much bong?

since the blown 3.8s have a slightly lower compression ratio, yes.

wouldnt that burn the piston rings out? isnt there a reason a boosted motor has lower compression? everyone i know whos boosted a motor that shouldnt have boost as swapped the pistons, or stacked head gaskets.

depending on the difference in the CR and amount of boost, lower compression isn't always necessary.

i think the CR difference in the boatanchors is less than .5... something 1psi could probably overcome. and they probably use the same rings for S/C and N/A setups.

from what ive read there is a BIG difference in strength between the 3.8 & 3.8sc bottomends, & im betting the pistons will need to be forged or at the very least aftermarket hypereutectic.

trust me its not worth it considering people sell GTP supercharged motors for $400-$600 all the time (probably due to them no longer being needed to keep their boats in the same spot on a lake/river/ocean).
