how much does a good turbo setup usually run on a 3.1 like im talking a good boost number ????Im looking to get high numbers in the horsepower toru range so n e one knows any good parts to go with to build the engine up with let me know

Might be the best way, but it's not the wrong way.
Now if he just wanted to invest into just n/a power... THEN the 3.1mpfi (that is what we are referring to?) would be the wrong way to go. You'd be surprised on how well the 3.1 wakes up with some forced fed power.

Go to turbobygarrett.com, they have a lot of a lot of insights on power levels, boost levels, power bands, etc. in their tech section. It's mostly all explained. Or you can go to the '07-'08 catalog and scroll down to page 53 and they show a general idea what turbo is best for you engine. Just remember if they show 3 turbos for you displacement for example, the largest turbo of the 3 will have the most lag of the 3.EricComment
