    Did you weld the intercooler piping yourself. That looks really clean. Your manifold design is very good as well. However you should have a bracket or something other than the crossover pipe supporting the turbo. Otherwise the bellows will fatigue in torsion which is not a good idea. Yeah I hate to say it but your choice for wastegate placement is less than ideal. You really want it after the collector so it vents uniformly from all cylinders. Also it causes some reversal of the exhaust flow which is limiting some flow to the turbine. But keep it conservative and you should be good. I'm glad to see someone give this a try and it is a very nicely done setup. I think you should be proud especially if this is your first time doing this. If and when you upgrade the turbo get one with an integral wastegate on the turbine, it is not as high performance wise but it is a stock 3400 V6 so it is not going to make a ton of power anyways.       Yes, I welded all the intercooler piping as much as I could. I still have little things I want to make neater. I know the waistegate isnt the best placement, but It works and I havent had boost pass 8 lbs yet so its working fine. I'm going to try to get a video here pretty soon if it stops raining.

        looks good man. i would recommend getting a turbo jacket for your turbo exhaust housing, your heating up that air in the charge pipe right before in goes into the engine. Love the to see more turbo setups on domestics and kickn the shyt out of imports.

            Yeah I had a turbo blanket, but when It was on it would get the turbo so hot that it would burn the sealant right out of the threads for the oil feed line and they would leak. Also I heard over time I could fry my roller bearings from the extreme heat. I make a stainless steel shield to deflect most of the heat away from the charge pipe. Works nice.

              I see that you sent the PCM out for a base tune , so that seems to be covered.
              How are you going to monitor the engine?
              That autometer A/F gauge is not an accurate way to keep an eye on your AFRs.It mearly reads O2 sensor voltage.
              Might I suggest a Wideband O2 setup to get accurate AFR's , hate to see all that hard work lead to leaning out the motor and melting pistons.
              How about enigne internals as well , I see 8PSI is where you are running it , how about future goals?

                I drove my car to Sinister Performance in Fort Wayne Indiana, and it was 100% worth the drive. Ryan, from Sinister Perf. knows his stuff. He firmed up my shifts and tuned perfectly, a little rich to be safe, but it runs S T R O N G.

                  Well a "little rich" to be safe is better than a "bit" lean for power.
                  I know I like to tune my boosted cars at 10.8- 11.0 AFR's for best response/safety on DD duty and close to 13 with Meth and top boost setting (for me its 24PSI) for the track.

                  How about that wideband though?
                  Its a good investment.
                  Just outta curiosity , what sort of tuning device is out there (what are you using?) for these cars when going to a forced induction setup?
                  And how user friendly is it?

                    I think its funny that when I said your wastegate placement wasn't the best, you gave me attitude. Then when someone else says the same thing as me you then agree with them. Whatever

                    Anyways I had my turbo chip done by Sinister performance too. For a mail order chip he did a good job. It runs pretty good. Should be a 12 sec car.

                    Plan to dyno or take your car to the track?
