  • Supercharged 3.4 propane project - NO BOOST

I have a 3.4 pushrod, 11:1, cam, headers, ect, ect running on propane.
This summer I decided to try supercharging. I Put on a Thunderbird Supercoup eaton m90 supercharger. I get a constant loud whistle and no boost even when I rev it out. Checked for leaks, by-passed the intercooler, all ok. I took the supercharger apart and found scoring on the housing.

    Any Ideas????

    Here's the pics...

Does the Supercoupe SC have a bypass valve? If so make sure it closes when the vacuum drops/throttle opens.

as stated, check the bypass valve (jam it shut) and make sure the belt is tight enough. it doesnt apear you have a whole lot of contact on the belt to the s/c pully, you may need another idler in there to get a better contact, if that is whats causing the problem.

have you checked the coupler in the s/c??? ive heard of those breaking and you get no boost.
