a buddy of mine was running a generic e-bay turbo from e-bay on his b18 swapped civic hatch. it lasted over a year at 15 psi before it started smoking. the best thing asbout it was it was such a close rip off of a garret that it could be completly rebuilt with garret parts.

This means if you use parts from two different mfgr's, it will have to be re-balanced. If you interchange Garrett parts for Garrett parts no balancing should be needed.
