  • Turbo questions...

Well i have the 3400 SFI and want to get a turbo system and was wondering if you guys had any recommendations for a particular turbo setup/system and was wondering what mods i need to have done before i get the turbo so that my engine wont blow up on me. Thanks.

There isn't any bolt on turbos that I know for the 3400. You'd have to custom do it like everyone else.

Read up on turbos to get an idea of what stuff you will need. You can tune your car with a DHP programmer once you have the turbo, larger injectors, bigger fuel pump/etc on to get it running good and safe.

A stock 3400 on ~8psi is pretty impressive. I'd be worried about the transmission holding up though hehe.

Well, theres at least one out there, i found this one:

but right now its unavailable due to upgrades to the kit. I thought that you guys might know of other kits that were being made, so is that the only one available? and roughly how much would it cost me to "make one" myself?

          looks like a nice setup.

          although I wouldn't push 9 psi on a stock 3400.

          reasonable price.

yeah, i mentioned it being unavailable right now, and i would love to be the one to get the first kit but this is my only car and cant afford sending it to the people so i guess i just have to wait. Which waiting doesnt really matter seeing as im still paying people back for some borrowing when my car tried to die on me and still have about $1550 left to pay back.
