  • turbo id and will it work for me?

One of my co workers has a turbo he is trying to sell. I am wondering if it is any good.

The tag says that it is a T3 Super T70.

here is a link to one similar that is on Ebay:

    Is this turbo any good?

I am looking for a turbo that spools quick but won't choke my 3400 @ high rpms. The one that my coworker has is not wastegated (just like the one above).

Would this turbo work well with my setup?

thats a good sized turbo. i dont know whats junk about it, i know a few honda guys that are running the xspower turbo kits with xspower turbos, and none of them have had any issues. i mean, sure its not a turbonetics or garret, but its not like they are complete piles of scrap.

Blue/Black tags = junk. I got an e-bay turbo, and so does someone else on this board (he's got over 30k miles and no problems). I've heard bad things about the blue/black labels.
Here's a better built unit that I know has some reliability, if you're looking to save some money...

I hihgly doubt thats even a 57 trim. YOu dont' know wht you are buying when you buy an ebay turbo. The guy could say its a t88 but its a t25. Spend the extra money and get the trim you trully need. Unless you dont' care about efficiency

You are absolutely correct, mine was measured a 46 trim after dissasembly and measurements taken. Boosetedrs got over 400hp with this same turbo, and has over 30k miles on it.

Either way I'm here in Coral Springs, the only city that thinks they are a "home Owners Association (HOA)". lmao.
