  • 3.4L DOHC Turbo Questions

Ok i want to supercharge my one gtp, but my everyday driving gtp i want to slap a turbo on it, i already know what intercooler im going to get, and bov and piping and stuff, its just the actual turbo itself i need some advice on, im looking on ebay right now and i want to know what you guys think would be good for my car, i want to run 8 psi , and right now my mods are, Heavy ported heads, intakes, and ported and tapered tb, flowmaster mufflers with magnaflow high flow cat, underdrive pulley, ffp dogbone, bens awesome overworked chip, 6/6 cam timing, k&n cone filter, and i cant remember if theres anything else, anyways what do you guys think of these turbos? junk or what, will they be fine for 8 psi at 7000rpm?

also what size injectors should i run? and i want to keep it obd1 so what do i need a 3 bar map? if so where do i get it, and how hard will it be to tune this thing, i tried checking out brian89gp.com but it has been taken over by hackers. thanks for any help.

Let me preface this by saying that I highly suggest checking out the deals on Honda-Tech. You can find brand new, Garrett turbos for $575 shipped with a warranty and in the correct sizes. You would even be better off with a used diesel turbo than most of the turbos you find on ebay.

The first turbo is REALLY weird... It has a HUGE turbine housing a/r ratio (a bad thing) with a really TINY turbine wheel according to the specs. Also, according to the specs, the compressor wheel should be just about right. However, the pictures and the text have at least two completely different sets of specs. Stay as far away from this one as possible. The seller has no idea what he is selling. It could work well, or the turbo itself could be as poorly put together as the ebay ad.

The second turbo is too small and has a really weird turbine housing. It's setup for an internal wastegate without actually having an internal wastegate. I would also avoid this one.

The final one seems to be the same as the second one.
