  • My most recent of recent track visits...

Last Friday night , the 11th, i ran again at the local strip. I hadnt changed anything on my car since my last visit to the track over a month ago when i ran a 16.2. Friday i ran a 15.7. How in the hell? The run before that i had ran a 16 flat. I ran a 16 flat twice. I let the car cool for about 15 minutes and then it ran a 15.7. I thought that maybe the track was wrong but the next run i ran a low 15.9. I am so happy that i am in the 15s now. This is alot from me running 16.4 in early august. The only thing that has changed since then is an intake. And i got around 5 or 6 r/t of .050s. For christmas i will be buying a dogbone and ben's chip. Maybe i can consistently run in the mid 15s after that. And i raped a 2001 v6 camaro 5 times.

RE: My most recent of recent track visits...

weather conditions make a huge difference. i have had a couple 15.6 runs with my car, but ive drievn it absolutly perfect. there is a big difference from a perfect run to a small mistake.

torquewise the stock Camaro barely beats you stock, BUT your wheels are lighter. Plus, was the Camaro a stick? Because trust, you gotta be skilled to launch a newer Camaro without any wheelspin.
      Good timeslip!!

It was an auto. The stock z34 wheels are lighter than the 5 spoke camaro wheels? He had some weight on the rear of his car so that he would get traction. Thanks for the complements.

Hell yeah you should have beat him!! You are driving a 660!!!! Everyone else is at a disadvantage! These engines (DOHC and pushrod) are the shit! You just can't beat them. They are very forgiving of abuse (including that of "not the ideal tune") get good fuel milelage, and with rountine manitence, last a long, long time. I have 171,000 miles on mine, still pulls 18 inches of vacum at idle.
Don\'t hate me because I\'m horny.

My Bro-in-Law bought a 94 Camaro. He asked me if I wanted to run him. I didn't say yes. I said Hell Yes!! Title for Title! He crawfished. Good times Lyle.

The kid won some money the other day at a local casino and so he went out and bought new tires and new plugs and wires. Now he wants to race me again but the local strip is closed for remodeling for a month so that gives me time to get my dogbone mount and an oil change before then. I hope i can beat him again because the old tires were basically slicks.
