here is a run down of the rest of the setup:
bottom end end is stock
3400 Head gaskets (what I had around at the time)
ported heads -more than a little, less than a lot
mild ported LIM -just at the bottom of runners, going to do a better one soon!
3400 plenum -ported with LX5 65mm TB
ported rear exhaust manifold -hope to replace with headers soon or at least 3500 manifolds
Full 2.5" exhaust from manifold to tail pipe.
would the 3500 plenum make much of a differance? And what factory injectors dose every one recomend? l67 with a '99 and older FPR?1999 Olds Alero 2.4 to 3500 swap (running). totaled by a honda
1992 lumina 4 door 3500 3spd auto 15.020 @93.5 mph
1984 Cavalier type 10 hatch 3100 5spd!!!

9.63@74.36 in the 1/8th
14.30 on slicks! scrapped due to rust!

I'd use stock 3400 injectors and the 00+ FPR. the spray pattern works well with the runner design of these engines.
the 3.4 DOHC injectors have a very foggy and wide spray pattern that's not well suited for the gen 3 engines.
you should use a properly ported 3500 plenum and then port that LIM out to the metal 3500 gaskets on the top side.. but first, get a chip. you're seriously losing 40-50 HP by not having it tuned right.

I gasket matched my setup straight through, My uppers to the 3500 metal gaskets and the lowers to the stock 3500 gaskets since the metal felpro's did not exist when I did my porting. I found out that the metal 3500 Felpro gaskets are now smaller than stock and overlap my ports so I had to stick with the 3500 stock GM lowers.
If I had another 3500 lower intake I'd probably try to do a dyno run on both to see if there are any ill effects from porting it that way but I haven't picked up another 3500 top end yet. I do plan to sometime.

Considering the LIM and UIM are restrictions on these engines, gaining whatever possible through them seems logical.

Hurry up and 3500 swap that wagon,

We don't have a base line to compare though Robert... if we had a stock engine and ran those 3500 parts with that cam, and then put the ported stuff on then yeah we would be able to see the gains, but you went from a stock 3400 to a 3500 hybrid and cam, and also never had a 3400 dyno graph, so this is really just for tuning purposes and to get a baseline number. As many say dyno's don't tell all since they could be calibrated slightly different than another.

a stock (other than 10.8:1 SCR) 3500-5 speed that i did all the port work on put down 224WHP/235TQ.. that's about 250HP/260TQ @ the flywheel. Stock cam, 3400 log manifolds, 65mm TB.. This was on a dyno somewhere down south.

The parts we use are there. We also use the ostrich with the BMWs but its not so easy with 1 person. Still a nice setup though to have.1999 Olds Alero 2.4 to 3500 swap (running). totaled by a honda
