So I went to Bfest 2010 this year in Chicago and we visited Great Lakes Dragway. My first two runs out there I was testing the waters to see what the car would do, so I had knocked it back to a "75" shot jets. (I will post my jets tonight for reference) I ran that twice and got a 13.5 average... So I decided to bump it up to the 100 shot jets that I have. The first time out I only got the same 13.5, but my MPH went up. I then decided to weigh the bottle and see if I needed to fill it. It only had 2lbs left so I topped it off.
Next time out I snagged a 13.154@106.45 I could feel the difference from the bottle being filled properly. Two more runs after that I screwed up, One I left the shifter in L so I hit the limiter... and one other the trans delayed the 1-2 shift so it tapped the limiter as well. It wasn't till my last run that I was able to get it down to a 13.094@106
I'm quite impressed and I will be bringing it to a dyno soon so I can see what I'm actually getting for a WHP gain since I do not think the quoted HP is what's being put to the ground. I do know with the same jets as I ran this time I only got a 60WHP gain on the dyno with a stock motor.
I just need to concentrate on making the trans shift a bit quicker on the 1-2 shift and then I think I should be able to easily repeat these times over and over, and quite possibly crack into the 12's
