When I pull the motor and trans this winter to look it over, I'm probably gonna invest in some more valve body work, I need to bump up the line pressure there... I did it on ole red and that shifts HARD on 1-2 and 2-3 but didnt do it on this one so it shifts a little slower.

I'll be right there with ya Dave, but mine will be bottle fed... LOL
Oh yeah I never did mention it, but my car saw 6800 on almost every pass at the track and its still holding up good... I'll only know for sure how everything responded when I get the engine out and go through the bearings and such.

[QUOTE=torq455;374505] reminds me of how my 125C shifted--sooooo laaazzyyy. QUOTE]
I'm going to have to actually find out what was done to my trannies, because I have never been in a FWD car that shifts as hard as both my 3t40's (TH125's) do, ever! (3.73 FDR, EP LSD, FD Converter)
1-2 will chirp the DR's even at 15 mph, and at WOT on the track I can actually feel the car do a little dance on some runs. And while the 2-3 won't rattle your fillings, it is way harder than any other FWD I have been in.
I have had a few guys ask me what is modded, and I keep forgeting to find out and pass it along, but I will make a point of it next time I'm up there.
(For the locals it's Mr. Transmission in Milton, Ontario. See Billy Clark. He owns the place and has been a good friend for 35 years.)
Back on topic, Lil'Jon will likely see high 12's on the bottle if it stays together!
Me, I'm done for the year and stuck at 14.22, but 99.14 mph which is encouraging.Last edited by asylummotorsports; 10-22-2008, 02:25 PM.

I'm done for the year too. Took her out last Fri. and ran a slower 10.33@66.7 mph in the 1/8. My old time was 10.17@67.1. Still tuning the ECM and transmission shift points vs. TCC lock up. Though, this time I have much wider tires, the spare tire, full tank of gas, and an extra ~100 lbs. 1st gear the tires were really struggling to keep traction out of the hole and that's with the 225 50 R16 BFG G-Force Sports. Now my tranny is leaking fluid from a hair line crack in the side cover. Yaay! I got it home ok though. More tuning in both areas and things should come together better next season.Last edited by torq455; 10-22-2008, 07:46 PM.Andy

i don't have a scan of the slip and i probably won't bother because it's just a 14.5, but it's very promising. i feel like if i got a perfect launch and shifted at the right points, i'd be damn close or maybe even in the 13's. as it is, both are hard to achieve, since i have bad wheelhop and a broken tach :P
by the time spring rolls around i hope to have my 3500 exh. manifolds and 3500 plenum on, along with a working tach and a fix for the wheelhop. then, it shouldn't be hard at all to break 13's.
