Radio light quite working

oh please man, i justified myself when i put that last sentence. i dont need you to tell me if i am griping or not or whining, because u were the one that had to come and correct me with all the extra and if you come up with a witty comeback, it really wont matter because the discussion now is already off topic and i am sure that the other people on the forum, including the thread starter really doesnt care anymore

Actually I havent tried to fix it yet ?? Not so sure that i want to now.. Only way u can see the time or station is if you shine a flash light on it or if the sun is shinning on it..

Either the display or the driver...

I could figure it out either way LCD or VFD.

How long would it take u to fix it and have it back to me ??? Cause we drive the car nearly everyday...

well i would look on ebay for one then send urs in to get repaired by that guy, i got one for like $60 that way you can have an extra one if anything happens.

I had the screen go on in my 1996 Grand Prix (basic AM/FM cassette without the EQ).

I just put a new bulb in it. It shocked the shit out of me how it was done. I was expecting it to be like the Cutlass Supreme radio, but it wasn't.

If your radio originally had a RED display, the most likely, you can just stick a new bulb in it.

If you take it apart, then old bulb just twists out. I had to solder a new bulb to the holder, but other than that, it was a 5 minute fix.

If I get around to it, sometime tomorrow, I will take some pics of the bulb to show everyone.
