Seems like the 60*v6 is becoming more and more prolific.

I miss heads and intakes that were pretty enough to not need full-engine beauty covers, though.

Yeah, but unfortunately the 3800 still exists. I could have sworn it was getting killed off... The L67 is dead, though. Now its the L26 and the L32.

Yeah, the 2.8 is available in 1 Caddy model. I didn't list all of the models each of these are available in.

The L66 for the Saturn Vue is actually a SOHC.

oh ok. the other variant i was referring to was the 3.6. i suppose it is safe to assume that the 3.6 dohc is also running a timing chain too?

p.s. the l66 needs a beauty cover b/c that intake looks like shit.

The 2.8L DOHC is actually just a variant of the 3.6L DOHC.

The 4.3L is still kicking too. It is only in the Silverado/Sierra. But this year or last it got a real MPFI injections system in place of the CSFI system. Along with that came a new intake. It also got coil pack ignition and ditched the distributor after all these years.

well we have a caddie in stock at work with the 2.8L and its a german engine, and totally gutless, now the 3.6L in the cts has balls, i love that engine.

The turbo 2.8L, which is just a smaller displacement version of the 3.6L but with a turbo, is gutless?

Well, I just looked at the numbers, and you are probably right... 2.8L turbo puts out 210hp/194ft-lbs, whereas the 3.6L puts out 255hp/252ft-lbs. I guess I never really looked at the number before.
