The car started fine before coming back to work from lunch, now it the engine will not start, no clicking, no relay chatter, nothing, just will not start?

Could it be the starter solenoid, or the ignition switch?
I will probe it later to see if I get voltage at the solenoid.

It can also be the neutral safty.

hey on those newer cars, don't use a test light. I've heard horror stories about test lights sending surges back to the comp and frying them. let me see what I can pull for TSB's and such.
sigpicHow to make High performance Emissions:
A "true" High flow converter, straight pipe.
Low/No flow EGR valve, block off plate.
Carbon canister and purge valve mod, place in large 30 Gallon can, cover, and place curbside, the city will do the rest.
PCV valve and vent tube, reroute to exhaust to dump where it belongs, on the ground. Or add breathers and let it all free.

I am just probing the starter solenoid not a sensor. Hello where do I work Hmmm.

Yes newer cars you can only sense voltages with good muiltimeter while in circuit.

The ignition switch is flacky, it statred after moving the key back and forth really fast. This car has a solid state ignition switch with time and/or sensor based starting and will not allow double engagement.

Turned out the stock battery had an internal terminal failure where the side connection is. the whole terminal plate and nut fell out as soon as I tried to remove the positive cable terminal.

I removed the rubber seal boot and cleaned her up and slapped a new battery in it and the thing starts like new I did seal it up with well placed high temp RTV. I had a lecure with the wify. Clean those terminals or at least tell me, geesh she doesn't even check the oil she just tells me when the light comes on.

No tragedy, the Intrigue has some sort of wonderous technology that saves all the settings, even the preset auto for the A/C and Heat. Neat I tell yeah, the clock is still on time. I am sure it just some sort of backup battery.
