and I'm retarded. After following Dohcfiends advice of taking the weekend off, I came back to my Z with a fresh pair of eyes. It took about 2 seconds to realize that my timing chain is probably not broken after all. I came to this conclusion after looking at the main timing gear again and realizing that there is NO FUCKING BOLT IN IT! Thats right I forgot to install the giant bolt that holds the gear on the intermediate shaft. Wow, am I totally incompetent or what? This does not, however, change my previous rant on how poorly this vehicle is built. But I can admit that I don't want to watch it burn as much as I did. And I AM A HUGE FUCKING MORON! Now, hopefully my car will forgive me and run right this time.
