..I just left my job from folding sunday papers for tonight (deliever papers at 4am-6am) and was going to get something to eat whenI heard this loud ass v6 exhaust note and 4 blue dotted lights coming at me fast. So I get into the right side of a double sided turning lane and to my surprise I see a very clean red 3000gt with nice chrome aftermarket rims pull up beside me and this guy starts reving the engine and I'm hearing the twin turbos spool and a bov,so I thinking to myself "Uh,dude no,SE not TGP" then right infront of us some guy in a civic punches it past us,causing the guy in the 3000gt to taunt me again, so now I'm like "whatever", so I take it out of over drive,we wait, light turns green and both punch it, makeing a fast sharp turn at about 30 mph, the 3000gt about a sec behind me,making the turn as I am,and then we both surge off onto a nice decent long curved road. I keep looking in my side view mirror hearing this angry exhaust and twin turbos and bov racket behind me just waiting for the 4 dotted lights to zoom past me then I noticed,my tach had reached the yellow so I put it into overdrive and to my surprise as close as he was he wasn't gaining so I stayed on the gas until he backed off (70 mph) then he get's into a turning lane to get onto the highway as I go straight......I'm not going to claim that I beat a vr4 there's alot of senarios to why and how this might of happened but it left me smiling.

maybe he was jsut trying to get you in trouble. 300+hp, awd, middle of the night... you could have either wrecked or been busted while his built for speed car managed to escape. i used to do this with rednecks and their 4x4's when i drove an ls1, because we all know 4x4's are gods gift to the world, and just like one guy told me "i might not catch ya, but i can crush ya!"... wonder how he planned to do that as i accelerated out of his reach. If you aren't friends with a liar, you aren't friends with anyone.
