  • Fiero door dimensions

I know, i'm probly stupid for thinking this...

I've pondered maybe swapping fiero doors to my j-body. 1, they are dingproof plastic. 2, no rusty rusty. 3, lighter.

To start with, If the fiero doors have a frame around the glass, there is no point in continuing. my car is a convertable so unless the windows are frameless this is dead in the water.

if someones bored and maybe could take a few measurments for me that would rock. i would need:

    1. length from edge to edge on the skin,
    2. wall to wall on the jambs.
    3. Height for the skin, likely this is best measured at the open edge to avoid the additional length from the curve of the door.
    4. bow of the door, if you plumb a string tightly from top to bottom of the skin and measure the farthest distance from the string to the skin.
    5. distange from bottom edge of skin to the body of the door, above the
    door sill.

that should be enough to start with, hinges are no big deal, if a door could swap over i could simply drill holes for new hinge mounts.

    thanks in advance

I can tell you without measuring they are not even remotely in anybody's wildest dreams close to fitting a J-body.

They are quite a bit shorter, both length and hight, latches are in different positions, hinges, etc.

You might as well be trying to put a dodge truck door on your car, because they are as close.
