look into a VW car with a TDI motor before you look too hard at a small gas powered car

biodiesel is actually looking like it might take off

If it hits 3.25, I'm selling one or two of my cars and getting a Ford Powerstroke diesel truck and running it on cooking oil. I won't put up with this crap much longer.
I may own a GTO now, but I'm still a 60V6er at heart.

so i can stop at McD's and feed my wheels too! lol j/k. Diesel would rock, i decided if ever got another new car the only options i'd have is 4x4 if available and the big motor, neither of thoses matter anymore . It takes over $40 every 5-7 days to fill up for me, thats at $2.70 a gallon, if it goes up over $3 i can watch a 1/4 of my check go out just for gas. to bad the fwd trannies dont have as many options for the fdr as the rwd platforms, maybe i should look at a rwd conversion more seriously.

i'm going to put a little money into my suv to see if i can squeeze 20mpg city out consistantly, i sit right at 18 now.

maybe a paralel twin 2.0l steam engine... kevlar firewall and front clip just in case of boiler explosion... run it on those coleman propane cylinders, lol. 15hp but like 300 ft/lbs of torque.

Yep, make your own Bio-Diesel! It does rock! Trucks did it! Stacy showed how, smells like French Fries, or Long Johns....

But it works. @ $.70/ gal. No conversion, just pour it in the tank.

Right now some hippie is thinking "yeah man, my next car is gonna burn hemp oil. I'll be doing my part to curb road rage."

Seriously though, I don't see why restraunt chains in major metro areas don't convert their local fleets to run on the grease they're just going to dump. If they need to go OTR, they could still use diesel fuel.
I wish I still had my sixty degree.

Pretty soon we will have McDonalds gas stations. lol. I would love to have a TDI VW and run it off of BioDiesel. Don't they get like 600+ miles per tank?

no, we are all thinking, damn if this really does take off like it looks like it could then where are we going to get all the veggie oil to supply the need... oh right, brazil is already one step ahead of us.... cutting down the rainforests to plant palm trees (palm trees make great oil) however the rainforests also provide something i think we can all agree is better than oil.. The commodities market will be doing a "price adjustment" on a whole assload of raw materials, including oil, because of the abnormally high speculation pricing.

Expect the adjustment to hit about 55/US per barrel, and cause a shockwave through our economy as panicked speculators try and dump their holdings.

I hate the global economy. Just when Canada starts getting a leg up and pulling some business, the US economy is going to fart, and drag us back 4 years
