Some came out with the 4.3, 90*, V6. What are the swap options? Or performace mods?

    Asking for a friend.

u can get superchargers for newer 96 & up. hook up a bottle. pull the motor and put in a 350 or 400. both small blocks will bolt up to stock trans. (same bell housing)

What's in it now for an engine/drivetrain?
          What are his goals?

There are many possible swaps, but all depends on what he wants from the truck.

91 with 4.3, Auto, and a 93 with a 2.8, 5 spd. Not sure what his goals are. I assume to go faster? or get fast quicker.

Without knowing that, and what his goals are, or which s-dime he's going to be working on, makes it virtually impossible to answer your question.

On the 91' get a N.O.S. kit for that year 350. It has the same T.B.I. Or
yank it and put in a small block. On the 93' get a 3.4 crate motor. To do a small block swap you must also change the bell housing. (2.8 and 4.3 different) For a small block swap many comp. have motor mount kits. Stay away from most headers, most are more of a pain than they are worth. About any 86'-92' ex. manifold from a camaro will work, or shorty headers from same veh. Hope this helps

                  Which 3.4? Pushrod or LQ1?
