Has anyone run into this problem?

My Cutlass International tilt column has a small amount of play when in any position, tilted.
Almost as tho the detent is not fully seated??? Does anyone know of an adjustment to correct this and if so perhaps you would tell me where to look and how to make the adjustment.

up and down play? side to side?

almost sounds like the columb tilt pivot pins are backed out a bit.
either way your going to have to rip and tear into the columb. take off the wheel, the lockplate, the covers. ect ect. fun stuff if you have the right tools.
