  • Quad Turbocharged 4cyl

Nice workmanship... But such overkill, Thought I'd post anyways.

QUAD TURBO KIT 21 January 2006

This is the first known quad turbocharger installation ever to be built for a four cylinder engine as a research and development project by Owen Developments.

The project was to evaluate how small the manufacture of a turbocharger would have to be in order to produce sufficient speed not only to achieve atmospheric pressure but additional boost for each of the four cylinders.

This project illustrates the design and manufacturing capabilities of Owen Developments in this highly specialised field and is a good example of where future high performance engines may ultimately end up.

That is a little over kill, however I wonder what kind of power it puts out and what gas mileage it will get. If it improves fuel economy and has a good powerband it might be a great new idea to use on production vehicles.

What's cool is that it's still pretty compact. If they could make that pretty affordable, along with high efficiency, it just might sell.

That is so badass! I dont know much about turbos, but could you still hook a regular turbo to the intake? It kinda looks like a mitsu motor.

looks like the Nissan SR20DET(TTT) engine if ya ask me.

I'd imagine something like that would heat soak the hell outta the engine with 4 heat magnets right there.
