I know isn't it fucking awesome! I'm really proud of GM for stepping it up and not just doing the regular turbo 225hp eco powerplant in there. They kicked it up a notch for the solstice and put in a Direct Injection 260 HP version for the GXP model.
When I test drove the solstice here at work, I loved it. Absolutely handled like it was on Rails! was just such a blast to drive, would be so much fun for the twisties, However with only the NA 177hp Eco 2.4L in there, It was lacking some power and that quick stabbing go that the car needed. If the NA version had a full 200 hp it would probably feel alot better. However this thing with the boosted 260hp 2.0L is going to fly!
Just too bad for me at 6 foot 2, Its a bit snugg of a fit. And the fact that its a 2 seater with zero trunk room, and only in a convertable, makes it not very practical for myself. If GM built a car like this rwd/turbo ecotec similar to something like a 240sx sized car. I'd be all over it.
