hmm perhaps your lq1 needs some freshening up. a lq1 should be able to make short work of the g/a's i would think.

but i feel ya, this 94 gtp i have now needs some freshing up as well. my auto z34 i used to have would just beat the hell out of this gtp. umm culprits may consist of compression loss through the rings or maybe valve seals, perhaps your timing has become inaccurate by belt stretch or maybe your convertor is slipping and killing your acceleration.

check compression by using a tester, then pour a little oil in it and recheck. if it gets better it is most likely your rings, if it doesn't most likely your valve seals or something. a leakdown test may be necessary then. there are several post in here for checking timing. just go by the marks or if you feel inclined use a degree wheel.

not a trans tech so i cannot help you on the tc slippage diagnosis.

i think my gtp suffers from timing inaccuracies and feels like i may have some clutch slippage too.

the N-body 3400 isn't a cake walk for an auto LQ1. It has to deal with the low RPM torque that it has over the heavier, low torque of the LQ1. May have to deal with gearing as well. You have to remember that although they have less power they have the same E/T as the auto LQ1's. From the gun they'll get you but you should have no problem from a roll and it won't be too hard to overtake them before 60.
