pat, there are killer deals on C4 stuff. The wheel base is only 96", where the stock Beretta is 103"

slick, not sure where but I bought it from insurance company via an auction.

the C4's didn't have the rear trans, so they didn't have a torque tube.

i think norm's going for the rear mount transaxle. c4's have a normal 700r4, 4+3, or ZF6 mounted to the motor and a normal(but aluminum) driveshaft.

Besides, C4 technology is older than the L-car. Sorta like going backward compared to the mostly aluminum C5.

Yeah, it was an online insurance auction. I guess my winning bid was not enough. I think it cost around $250 to enter a car. If they enter it in a few auctions and got much more than my bid then they might have made a money.

I am still watching salvaged cars along with drivers with modifications like twin turbo systems or head and cams or superchargers for the best deal. There are some nice modified C5s out there, but twice I need to pay or want to pay.
