The 60* part is the angle of separation between the V's. The 6 is obviously the number of cylinders.
Engines include:
2.8 V6 (2bbl FWD, FI FWD & RWD)
3.1 V6 (FI FWD & RWD)
3.4 V6 (FI RWD & FWD)
3.4 V6 DOHC (FWD)
3100 V6
3400 V6
3500 V6
And, I think there are a couple of newer ones in there that I don't know about.\"NASCAR is an integral part of my life. A part of me died when Dale Earnhardt died.\"
1997 Olds CS 4-door S/C - 183,527 miles
1999 Chevrolet Lumina 3100 - Wife took it at 158,340 miles
1989 Volvo 740GL Wagon 2.3 8v - 232,050 miles

Your Cutlass will be a 3.1, not a 2.8. The 2.8 went away early on with the Cutlass. I think 1990 was the last year for it, not positive, though. Either way, you've got good cars there, probably. Have fun!\"NASCAR is an integral part of my life. A part of me died when Dale Earnhardt died.\"

Of course this site is ONLY deticaded to the Chevy V6.
Most V6's today are 60* V6's because that is the best angle to make a V6 engine at.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma
1990 4Door, 3.2L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. 4X4. Trooper

The last year for the 2.8 anywhere in the GM lineup was 1989, by 1990 all the (GM) car lines had switched over to the 3.1.

The ford 5.0L if you favorite engine? Ouch
My fav is probabally the Buick or Caddilac big blocks.
If you want to narrow it down to the engines today the I think I would go with the New supercharged N*1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma

Some of them do, yes. A lot of the same upgrades, more importantly, should also apply. You just end up with a smaller bore by 3mm, if I remember right.\"NASCAR is an integral part of my life. A part of me died when Dale Earnhardt died.\"
