Well, up here in Northern Ontario, if you work in a mill or at a mine, let's say (any "industrial" type of job) You wil basically make a killing, and have cash for life... They have a good retirement plan, wage, benefits, the whole 9.

Don't know how it is in your part of the world though.

i looked into it....starts at 15 bucks an hour and eventually up to 40 an hour....not worth it to me.

Most places around here like a person to have a degree in machine tool.

I consider myself a level 2 ET as I have over 10 years of personal experience, and 2 years of production experience, have a degree, and certified IPC-610A..But I don't make nearly the wage monster says. which is close to 34k a year for a above average ET. I make under 20k saddly and have to get another job.....

If sioux falls' job opportunities get worse in my field I will move south, like I originally planned on. I am sorry to offend any one in the tri-state area but South Dakota sucs arse, when it comes to keeping the youth here. 20% or more leave yearly, that's why SD'd poplations stays roughly the same.

They make all sorts of things, usually from metal, Alloys, steels. Sometimes things are CNCed from plastic or wood.

There would even be a few CNCed items on your car.

Some CNC machning isn't always on a new part, but machining of an old part to repair or improve upon.............
