Then, when reinstalling, use new dust boots and anti-sieze. CRC makes a good all around no squeal, anti-sieze.
    Yep.
Put a decent size (length) 3/8 on it, then a good sized wrench on the other side for leverage. I've never had to torch, burn, ignite, WD-40 any part of my breaking system. Always seemed to have gotten good leverage

What'll really get you is when you go to replace the part and you find that GM has changed the design over the years. And you'll either have parts that look different, or use different tools to go in the same hole.

it's a caliper bracket bolt, not a slider pin.

Yeah, it's a miserable design to be certain. I've used standard bolts to hold those in place. Was a 19mm, but don't remember length or thread pitch. NEVER had a problem. If they made a T-62 bit, that would be perfect. A T-60 is just a smidge small, and they get cocked in the bolt, and you can have problems.

Sorry to add to the mayhem, but i actually LIKE the Aztec. Especailly when it has the AWD, 17"wheels and soild colors. Don't knock it till you drive it AND use it. It may look weird, but it has lots a functionality.
