    does any1 know about this and whether or not consumers can do it??

    also who would i contact...csx or something????

    I don't know about train, but I know there are private vehicle couriers with turkc and trailer all over the place that will make runs for cars. My cousin had to do that once.
    I may own a GTO now, but I'm still a 60V6er at heart.

        I know amtrak used to have a car train for people who took the train on vacation, and wanted to have their cars with them instead of renting one. I don't know if they still do this, or if you can just ship your car like this.

          ya, i called a number of transporters and found the rates very agreeable.

            The only problem with train is the Rail Dust. You must make sure you clean your car's paint very well after transporting by train. Otherwise the dust bites into the paint and does not go away.
