  • Gauging interest in a PAC-2000 rev A. and a digital cluster

The unit is a Dual Fan control unit set up with the engine temp sensor. Controls upto two fans based on temp settings.

I would think that this unit would keep 5 speeds cooler. When I had my GTP I always used the secondary fan on hot days.

Turns primary on when system calls for AC, and if temp get alittle high the sencondary fan turn on. Cycles fans according to what you set.

Also I plan on sometime in the future to begin a custom digital cluster for my Euro, if you have any interest in that as well let me know.

First I am customizing a Lumina 90-94 cluster, then 88-94, 95-99 Grand Prix, after that maybe a Cutlass, buick regal's are already in process. Monte carlos' 94-99 are about the same as a lumina in those years.

Let me know if you have extra dash clusters that can be donated for customizing (except Lumina 90-94).

Well for customs a dash cluster is needed.
The cluster doesn't need to be the one in your car, its just has to be one that is factory. The cluster doesn't need to be full cluster model either, just one that would otherwise fit.

      Colors available:
Almost every color, but then with certain colors like purple, red, amber cause poor visibility and lose visibility in sunlight. Blue, and most darker colors that don't filter VFD to much are best suited. So a highly transmissible red should work good.

So all i have to do is get one from the junk-yard, then PM you and get the addreses, send it there and you do all the work? How much then? Or, does the cost depend on the cluster you are working on?

yeah a ball park figure and maybe some pics of what youve done so far would be nice, theres 1000s of ways you could poetntailly do a digital dash cluster

Cost depends on the cluster yes, also depends on how many functions to be displayed, like tach, speedo, oil pressure and temp, water pressure and temp, voltmeter, ampmeter, fuel gauge, and few others. For a lumina dash full cluster is Speed, tach, fuel, (volts and/or oil), water, and odo/trip. So the cost for a lumina might be less, I do not think I am going to use a tach bar or MPH bar, that will cut cost some. I might just make one with a standard cluster.

I am going to start with 90-94 model luminas first though. Sometime soon I will start, I need to come up with the start up cost first.

To get an idea most Impala clusters on Dakota digital's web site is very similar to the lay out of a lumina.

Cost would be very similar as well. The only things I have done so far is removal of my cluster and did measurments, and possible placement of various drivers/displays.
