Awards for products not yet seen in the market place. Great.
When stuff like that happens I have to remind myself Motor Trend named the Vega Car of the Year. Two years in a row. This was before the third production year of course when it became apparent the aluminum block with aluminum cylinder walls wore out prematurely.
We'll see how it works--or doesn't work in a few years. Meanwhile it appears the ports are larger and the heads will fit previous engines. Yaaay! He who dies with the most toys is still dead.

Just think if GM would make another entry level DOHC 60* to put in those cars. That does seem like a badass motor though. Think they might put a s/c on it?

i picked up a copy over the weekend, its listed in an article for prodcuts that have come out in the last year that are technically remarkable. The list is of about 50 or so prodcuts and the 3900 gets a short paragraph blurb and a nice picture of it taking about 1/3 of a page.

there is a 60v6 DOHC platform but its not used in a lot of GMs american cars. right now there is a 3.6 and a 3.1 (or 3.2 I dont rember) the platform is set to scale from 2.8 all the way to 3.9. Many are turboed. I think a few of the SAABs have them.
