CAN A FULL GUAGE CLUSTER FROM AN 83 CAMARO Z28 FIT AN 84 NON GUAGE CAMARO SPORT COUPE. THE I/P HARNESS' ARE THE SAME. I KNOW I WILL HAVE TO CHANGE OIL AND TEMP SENDERS, BUT WHAT ABOUT THE VOLTMETER? ALSO, CAN THE ODOMETER BE CHANGED TO MY MILEAGE? I WORK FOR A GM DEALER BUT THIS STUFF ISNT COVERED. APPRECIATE ANY HELP.

Yes, the cluster will fit. Volt meter hooks up to the black/pink wire and to ground. Volt light to the brown wire coming from the alt to the choke heater relay, but I think you can just plug the dash in, and everything is already there, except, of course, the senders you have to change. I don't think it is legal to change the odometer reading no matter what the circumstances, but I could be wrong. And the tach will be wrong, too.

You can change the ODO, under circumstances like this. Where the cluster is being swapped (usualy) due to a failure. As long as it is documented, or the ODO reading is correct, I.E. swap the ODO itself from the old cluster into the new one, is fine.

Check the pinout at the connectors, every time I've done this swap with earlier GMs I've always had to swap a few pins, and the senders. The Volt meter picks up ignition in the cluster connection, so there's nothing extra about that. There's a 99% chance you will have to run a wire for the tach. Also if it came from a car with a different number of cylinders it will not read right, but can be calibrated in a few ways. Re-calibrate the existing circuit board, or you can sometimes find a same saize/shape circuit board from another GM vehicle that is calibrated for the correct number of cylinders.
