  • Demolition Of Busch Stadium

Well, I was hoping for an implosion, Nothin' but a bunch of bulldozers and a wrecking ball. http://stlouis.cardinals.mlb.com/NAS...=.jsp&c_id=stl

Still stinks that they are destroying it. I loved that place. I have family in St. Louis so i have been to many games there. Did the cardinals really need a new stadium? I mean, look at the world series last year. That place was SOLD OUT!!! I dont know the exact #s but the new stadium has something like 10k LESS seats than the current stadium. I just hate how the new stadiums are getting smaller.

I was just by there a couple of weeks ago. Can see why they dont want explosives cause its so tight downtown. Hell I swear you could hit the new stadium with a beer can from I-64!

YAH BABY!! Bet that was awesome. Only thing better would have been to push the button.

I wanted to push the button at Busch. And do it from across the river.

I watched it go up, and I wanted to watch it go down. With a Busch in my hand. Steelers got to do it. Seattle got to do it. Even the Reds got to do it! I want to do it! Wahhh!

My first game there was in 1966. Watched the Cards beat the Phillies. Our whole Little League team was there. Bob Gibson was the pitcher..(I could name the whole team.) Many concerts in the 70s.. Rush, ZZ Top, Terrible Ted.... Good Times. (where is that smokin' emoticon when you need it?)

Ohhh boy. Concerts at Busch. Ive got fuzzy memories of something like Ozzfest? Superjam? Summerjam? Whatever they were called (really a fuzzy time) remember hot astroturf, getting hosed down whether you wanted or not and tities and beer. Beyond those revelations I will not incriminate myself. But I will remember a couple of fights with puke cardinal fans in the STEEP upper deck!! Tricky. Going by there tomorrow maybe I will try to throw a beer can!
